Markhus Lacroix

Markhus ‘Duke’ Lacroix is a professional soccer player for Sacramento Republic FC in the USL Championship. He spent the previous seven seasons playing for several clubs around the U.S., including Indy Eleven, Orange County SC, Reno 1868 FC, and Charlotte Independence.
Duke earned his bachelor's in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports and performance psychology from the University of Western States.
While at UPenn, Lacroix was a two-year captain of the soccer team. He was one of only three players in school history to receive four All-Ivy League honors (2011-2014). He was also the only Quakers player ever to be named both the Ivy League Rookie of the Year (2011) and Ivy League Player of the Year (2013 Offensive POY). He graduated with the third most appearances in Penn history.
Lacroix also serves as Vice President of The United Black Players of the USL, a non-profit organization comprised of over 100 minority soccer players across the USL Championship and League One.
