Pat is a sports data scientist currently working as the Assistant Director for Quantitative Analysis in the Baseball Research & Development department for the Philadelphia Phillies. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering in 2014 and from MIT, where he studied air transportation systems, with a Master’s degree in 2016.
Since graduating, he has applied his data science skills in various industries, including aviation, finance, consulting, and now sports. Pat is passionate about STEM-education and diversity efforts, and this interest led to the founding of the Phillies/SWAC Analytics Mentorship Program, a semester-long initiative to mentor students interested in sports analytics from the HBCU member schools of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
