Ruchi Patel

Ruchi has a bachelor’s degree in ecology from Rutgers University and a master’s in geography from Penn State University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in geography at Penn State, with a focus on environment and development.
She has worked previously for the US Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. and Peace Corps in Paraguay. Ruchi brings years of experience in STEM mentoring and education, as well as collaborating with nonprofits on environmental, community development, and education programs in underprivileged communities across the U.S. and Latin America.
Ruchi is a certified yoga instructor and running enthusiast. Having played volleyball throughout high school, she knows and believes strongly in the power of both educational and athletic opportunities to empower students, especially girls, minorities, and students from other disadvantaged groups, to succeed in life.
