142 pairs of cleats and 70 soccer balls to youth soccer programs in New Jersey

At Ballers & Bookworms, we believe that every student-athlete deserves the opportunity to pursue both sports and education, regardless of their background or financial situation. That's why we provide free athletic training, academic support, and financial assistance to youth from underserved communities in New Jersey.

We were thrilled to donate over 140 pairs of cleats and 70 soccer balls to two youth soccer programs in New Jersey: New Egypt Youth Soccer and The Phil Gargan Foundation. These donations will help hundreds of kids enjoy the game of soccer and develop their skills, confidence, and character.

New Egypt Youth Soccer

New Egypt Youth Soccer is a volunteer-run organization that offers recreational and travel soccer programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 18. Each year, there have been kids in the program that lacked access to cleats and a ball to practice with. This puts them at a disadvantage and limits their potential.

We donated 72 pairs of cleats and 35 soccer balls to New Egypt Youth Soccer, ensuring that every kid in the program has the soccer equipment they need for now and future seasons. Our donation removes the burden on families and allows the kids to focus on having fun and improving their game.

We are proud to support New Egypt Youth Soccer and their mission to provide a positive and safe environment for kids to learn and play soccer. We hope that our donation will inspire the kids to pursue their dreams and goals, both on and off the field.

The Phil Gargan Foundation

The Phil Gargan Foundation is a non-profit organization that is focused on improving the lives of children in New Jersey and around the country through soccer. The foundation was founded in memory of Phil Gargan, a former soccer player and coach who passed away in 2020.

The foundation has a “Pass To…” program where they collect gently used soccer equipment for individuals in need. They also provide community outreach and offer the Trevor Adair Scholarship to help young soccer players further their education. The scholarship is named after Trevor Adair, a former college soccer coach who also passed away in 2020.

We donated 70 pairs of youth soccer cleats and 35 soccer balls to The Phil Gargan Foundation, helping them expand their “Pass To…” program and reach more kids in need. Our donation will also support the foundation's efforts to empower lives and community through soccer.

We are honored to partner with The Phil Gargan Foundation and their vision to honor the legacy of Phil Gargan and Trevor Adair. We hope that our donation will make a difference in the lives of the kids who receive the soccer equipment and the scholarship.
