Meet Jada, a 10th grade wrestler who has already racked up an impressive resume. In 2023, she took 4th place at the NJSIAA State wrestling tournament. She is also a South Region Champ and made the All-South Jersey team.
Jada qualified for the USA Wrestling Junior and 16U National Championships, which is the largest and most prestigious wrestling tournament in the country for high school students.
The tournament takes place in Fargo, North Dakota this July and attracts over 6,500 wrestlers from all over the nation.
However, Jada faced a major obstacle: the cost of traveling to Fargo and participating in the tournament. She was at risk of missing this amazing opportunity to showcase her skills.
That’s when Ballers & Bookworms stepped in. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide Jada with full financial assistance to cover all her costs for the trip including tournament registration, plane ticket, and hotel as well as new equipment.
Jada was overjoyed to receive the scholarship!
She was also keen to mention how grateful she is for her family and the sacrifices they always make for her to attend practice, tournaments, camps, and clinics. We are so proud of Jada and all that she has accomplished. We can’t wait to see how she performs at the tournament and beyond. Ballers & Bookworms thanks you again for your continued support of our mission to level the playing field for every student-athlete. Without you, we would not be able to help students like Jada achieve their goals.
